Delete your account

You can delete your Devout Football account yourself, at any time, without asking us. If you would rather we did it, or you can't get into the app, write to us and we will.

Deleting is permanent and immediate. Your record goes with it: your points, your badges, your check-ins, your album, your notes and everything you posted. Badges are earned, not stored — signing up again with the same email starts you from nothing.

In the app, in four taps

Open Devout Football.
Go to Settings.
Tap Delete my account.
Confirm.

That is the whole of it. There is no waiting period and nothing to email.

Asking us instead

Write to privacy@devoutfootball.com from the email address on the account, with the word "delete" in the subject line. Tell us your handle if you know it.

We reply to confirm it is really you, then delete the account. We do it as soon as we can and always within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your account and sign-in.
Your points, rank, badges and check-ins.
Your photos and video clips.
Your journal notes, ratings, predictions, posts, replies and comments.

What is not, and why

Records of anything you bought. If you ordered a patch, the order and its delivery address sit with our payment provider, who keeps them for the time UK tax and accounting law requires.
A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is held by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel it there, or it keeps renewing after your Devout account has gone.
Ordinary server logs, kept for a short period for security, then discarded.
